Advanced Spine and Posture

Leading With a Unified Practice

We consider total body health to provide a comprehensive medical understanding of biology, physiology, and body mechanics as it relates to your quality of life.

We take an integrated approach to care by ensuring patient examinations are reviewed by medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and physician assistants.

We provide evidence-based recommendations in prescribing the most medically necessary care possible, making the practice a trusted collaborator within the medical field and the communities in which we operate.

Putting Individual Care First

We put the health of patients first, working to provide care that resolves the real problem and not merely the symptom, and then consider preventative care.

We provide a friendly, casually professional atmosphere that affords patients a warm, family-oriented environment and provides them peace of mind.

We work toward making every patient comfortable from the first point of contact and through their corrective care schedule, therapeutic program, and long-term follow up as needed.

Advancing Our Field

We work to continually raise the standards of medical, physical therapy, chiropractic care, and total body mechanics in an effort to provide a better quality of life to more people — even those who may never be patients at our practice.

We take a leadership position in the community by being actively involved on the state chiropractic board, advocating for evidence-based medicine, and providing education that leads to total body health and fitness.

We work toward transforming our fields through innovation and continue to make significant contributions to the field by writing papers that advance chiropractic care and inventing technologies such as the Universal Tractioning System.

Brown DC, FCBP

I’m a craftsman at heart. My mother tells a story about when I was very young. She bought a new alarm clock and had it sitting on the kitchen table. I wanted to know how it worked, so I went to the garage got a screwdriver and proceeded to take it apart. When she came to get the clock it was in pieces and she was understandably upset. But as she puts it I told her not to worry, that I could put it back together.

And just like that she says I re-assembled it, and wouldn’t you know it worked. I’ve always been fascinated with the way things work. So it was no surprise that before I had even graduated high school I was working half a day in a local automotive shop. I worked my way up until I was a full time mechanic with my own giant tool box full of tools. I learned critical thinking, how to diagnose a problem and devise a solution. I also learned that it’s always best to have the right tool for the job. Critical thinking and working with my hands. These are my strengths.

Now, years later I’ve ended up putting my skills to use working on the human body as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Or as I like to think of myself, a BIOMECHANIC. Right out of school I was drawn to Chiropractic BioPhysics™ (CBP) as the gold standard for non-surgical correction of the spine and body. I worked in a CBP clinic in Atlanta, GA, then went on to open my own multi-location chiropractic practice in Florida utilizing the same CBP protocols at the heart of our treatment programs. I couldn’t let the opportunity pass to work at Advanced Spine & Posture in a multi-disciplinary practice where I feel the very best of what is possible in chiropractic and physical medicine is being done on a daily basis through close co-operation with many different providers.

Polatis DCM, FCBP

Dr. Todd Polatis is a chiropractic physician who was born and raised on a potato farm in southeast Idaho. He was taught the value of hard work, integrity, and service. In high school he was involved in many sports such as basketball, football, and baseball, which was where he was first introduced to chiropractic. He wasn’t only into sports in high school but loved to serve his classmates. He was the senior class president and served in many other leadership positions.

After high school he spent time serving a mission in Guatemala for his church. He learned many lifelong lessons that have helped him in so many ways. This paved a strong path towards serving others. He went to college searching for that path in Health Care. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry knowing that would help in the health profession. Still searching for that one career, he worked at a Nuclear Facility in Idaho for 5 years.

It was during that time when his wife had been having some health troubles and traditional medicine had no answers. It went on for some time, and then there last stop was the chiropractor. It was an instantaneous relief from symptoms that had been continuous for the last 8 months. She had relief for a few days but then symptoms started to return. They then were directed to a Chiropractic Biophysics chiropractor. It was after a month of starting her treatment with this chiropractic treatment that her symptoms never returned. He knew that this was his calling and soon applied to chiropractic school at Parker University in Dallas Texas. During his time in the University he was also the president of his class and the Chiropractic Biophysics Club. While in school he attended his Basic training in Chiropractic Biophysics. He is passionate about restoring health through Chiropractic Biophysics.

His biggest passion is his family. Dr. Todd and his wife love the outdoors, cooking, traveling, and watching their boys become the next NBA stars.

Gilbert DC

Dr. Les was a Javelin thrower for the University of Tennessee Knoxville during his time in undergrad. One day in practice he went to throw and ended up laying on the ground in excruciating low back pain. After getting x-rays and an MRI he was told he has had a traumatic pars fracture (spondylosis) of his lumbar vertebra. His was placed in a back brace for 9 months, with physical therapy 5 times a week, massage therapy, placed on pain medications, anti-inflammatory medication, and epidural steroid injections into his low back.

Still having had little to no relief of his symptoms he starting getting depressed. This process was beyond frustrating, he followed all recommendations from the medical staff, yet still was having trouble just sitting through his classes. Walking long distances became difficult, and riding a bike was close to impossible.

Finally, after trying anything and everything else he saw the team chiropractic physician. He was 100% a chiropractic skeptic. He thought it was witch craft, voodoo, and miracle work. After just 1 month of consistent chiropractic care he went from depressed, borderline dependent on pain medications, exhausted from trying everything else to beginning to train again. His low back pain vanished, his consistently tight muscles were loose again, his strength returned, and he was about to pursue a normal healthy life. After his experience he quickly became a chiropractic advocate telling other athletes to get checked on a regular basis to help prevent injuries and changed his career paths to pursue his new found chiropractic passion.

His passion is keeping athletes healthy, injury free, and performing at their optimal performance. He enjoys taking practice members from crippling low back pain through the darkness back to the light and joy of a life free a pain and depression.

Prall DC

I played football in high school and made my own boat in vocational welding class my senior year. After high school I became interested in Chiropractic while working landscaping. My boss’ hip slipped out of place and a chiropractor fixed the problem. I was so inspired that I returned to college in Burlington. I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport.

While at Palmer I simultaneously obtained my Bachelor’s degree and played Rugby. After graduation, I moved home to take care of my ailing grandfather. After he passed, I attended the 90-hour weeklong postgraduate program in Chiropractic Biophysics. There I met, Dr. Jaeger, owner of Advanced Spine and Posture, who is one of the post graduate instructors. The rest is history. I’m so pleased to be a part of this unified team.
